At present the institute offers 9 undergraduate and 17 postgraduate courses. Part Time Degree Courses are offered for working professionals with Engineering Diploma. The Institute is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (University of Technology of M.P.), Bhopal. AICTE declared it as an autonomous institute in 1989.

The institute houses 4 boys hostel and 1 girls hostel inside the institute campus. It runs a number of cells and departments within the campus for the benefit of the students. These include Computer Center, Centre for Continuing Education Programme, Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Training and Placement Cell, Central Workshop and Management Cell. The institue runs a central library comprising 41661 text books and reference books, 2640 journals and 167 magazines.
